[Objective]To explore the effect of simple and reusable artificial airway cap in the management of patients with artificial airway.[Method]Choose the tracheotomy patients in Yiwu Central Hospital.Patients who met the criteria were randomly assigned to the trial group and the control group. There were 50 cases in the experimental group and 50 cases in the control group. The sputum consistency, the number of sputum scab formation, the incidence of pulmonary infection, the rate of airway mucosal injury;respiratory frequency, partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2)and blood oxygen saturation(SpO2)after oxygen therapy were compared between the two groups.[Result]In the experimental group, the sputum consistency, the number of sputum scabs, the incidence of pulmonary infection and the rate of airway mucosal injury were lower than those in the control group. There was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).Respiratory frequency,PaO2 and SpO2 after oxygen therapy in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).[Cunclusion]Simple and reusable artificial airway cap can reduce sputum viscosity, sputum scab formation, pulmonary infection and airway mucosal injury and can increase the expiratory frequency, partial pressure of oxygen and oxygen saturation of blood after oxygen therapy.for patients with artificial airway. It is worth popularizing in clinic.
