The 5W1H thinking has been well established in studying the new trends of tourist demands in China, where tourism has become a way of life. This paper attempts to offer a philosophical insight in interpreting the implications of such phenomena as the popularization of tourist subjects, the diversification of forms of tourism, the expansion of tourist space, and the turn of tourist purpose to leisure-making in order to provide a theoretical basis as well as a package of strategies and measures for suppliers of tourist service to make more accurate projections about tourists’purchasing intentions and behavioral motivations,so that they can continuously innovate tourist products and modes of operation. Our studies suggest that with the society turning from a producer-based one to a consumer-based one,the supply side needs to improve services and make targeted products, that with tourist demands and forms of tourism becoming more diversified, the supply side should innovate its way of operation in a way that is close to life, that with the expansion of the third space, and the fusion of on-line and off-line demands which gives rise to more customer-friendly requirements, the supply side needs to be more inclusive and creative to produce leisure-making products that are culturally unique and in keeping with international standards.A systematic knowledge of these new trends of tourist demands and the use of new technologies will inject new vigor to tourism and promote its robust growth.
