Salmonella is an important zoonotic pathogen.Eating poultry products contaminated with Salmonella is an important cause of human infection with Salmonella. The consumption of poultry products contaminated with Salmonella is the main cause of human infection with Salmonella.Studying the immune response mechanism of poultry against Salmonella infection is important for controlling the spread of Salmonella in poultry and food chains. In the early stage of infection, the innate immune system is used to resist Salmonella infection in the body. However, its complete clearance in vivo depends on the adaptive immune response,in which CD4+,CD8+,γδT and B lymphocytes play an important role. This review summarizes the innate immunity and adaptive immunity of poultry against Salmonella infection, especially the role of T and B lymphocytes in order to provide new ideas for the prevention and control of salmonellosis in poultry.
