摘要
本文根据2014年全国流动人口动态监测数据,利用OLS回归分析方法,实证研究身份认同对流动人口消费水平的影响机制。研究结果显示,流动人口的城市居民身份认同度越强,其消费水平越高;随着对市民身份认同度的提升,流动人口的平均消费倾向和边际消费倾向均明显增强。在控制收入等一系列因素后,流动人口身份认同由农民角色转变为城市居民时,其月均消费水平提高4.99%。为解决变量的内生性问题,本文进一步采用倾向值匹配法(PSM)进行稳健性检验,发现前述结论具有一致稳健性。因此,完善流动人口的社会保障体系、推动流动人口市民化对促进我国流动人口消费水平提升具有重要的现实意义。
Based on the China Migrants Dynamic Survey in 2014,this paper analyzes the influence of the identity on the consumption level of the rural-urban migrants by using OLS regression.The results show that the consumption level can be increased by improving the citizen identity of the migrants.When the citizen identity is strengthened,both the average and the marginal propensity of the migrants to consume can be increased significantly.With the income and other factors controlled,the average monthly consumption will be significantly increased by 4.99%when migrants’status changes from farmers to citizens.This paper further applies the PSM to test the endogeneity caused by selection bias and finds that the identity of the migrants still has a significant positive impact on their consumption level.Thus improving the social security system for the migrants and enhancing their citizen identity will be the key to solve the problem of insufficient consumption of rural-urban migrants in China.
