Objective To explore the role of PDCA circulation management on reducing the incidence of forearm hematoma after radial artery puncture. Methods A total of 746 patients who underwent interventional surgery via radial artery puncture in the fourth quarter of 2018 and the first quarter of 2019 were selected as the study objects. In the fourth quarter of 2018, 400 patients using conventional management model were taken as control group, and 346 patients using PDCA management model in the first quarter of 2019 were taken as experimental group. The occurrence of forearm hematoma, nursing satisfaction and pain were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of forearm hematoma in the experimental group was 2.60%, which was significantly lower than 8.75% in the control group(P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction in the experimental group was 93.64%, which was significantly higher than 87.75% in the control group(P<0.05). The pain score in the experimental group was(4.21±1.33), which was significantly lower than(6.33±1.98)in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion The PDCA circulation management model can significantly reduce the incidence of forearm hematoma after radial artery puncture intervention.
