摘要
对于"…来…去"式四字短语,现行《现代汉语词典》和《汉语四字格词典》均有收录,前者认为其表示"动作的不断重复",后者认为其表示"动作多次重复"。而通过对老舍中文小说语言中所有"…来…去"式四字格式短语的穷尽考察,可以得出与前二书不同的结论:这种短语可分为"A来A去"和"A来B去"两种不同的格式。前者中的A只能由单音节自主动词充当,可以概称为"V来V去"式,整体表示"不断重复动词A所表示的动作",主要功能是做谓语和小句;进入后者A、B位置的是动词以外的单音节词语,整体表示"反复交替的反向动作"。
Four-character phrases like"A lai A qu"and"A lai B qu"are collected in The Modern Chinese Dictionary and The Chinese Four-Character Structure Dictionary.The former holds that the format means"the action repeats itself constantly"while the latter maintains thatit means"the action repeats itself many times".Exhaustive analysis of novels by Lao She comes to a different conclusion that we can divide them intotwo different formats:"A lai A qu"and"A lai B qu".The former expresses"an action denoted by a monosyllabic volitional verb as repeats itself constantly and can function as a predicate or a clause".It can be summarized by"V lai V qu".The latter expresses"an action that alternately repeats itself",and"A"and"B"are filled by monosyllabic words other than verbs.
