摘要
基于同一原作的不同译本常出现较大的风格差异,这既是译者主体性的彰显,也是译作进入目标语系统时必经的语域变化。基于语料库的多维分析显示,《金瓶梅》埃杰顿译本与芮效卫译本分别归属为"虚构性叙述"与"普通叙述说明"两种语域。结合副文本的分析表明,译本语域变异主要源自主观和客观因素的双重制约,其主观因素有译者翻译动机、目标及对待原作的态度,而客观因素则涉及译者所处时代背景的主流思想和文化倾向、译者经济状况与翻译操作模式。
Stylistic differences are often identified among texts translated from the same original work, which is both a manifestation of the translator’s subjectivity and an inevitable genre variation after the translations enter the target-language system. The corpus-based multidimensional analysis shows that Egerton’s translation is "Imaginative Narrative", while Roy’s is "General Narrative Exposition". A probe into the paratexts of the translations reveals that their genre variations can be attributed to the double restrictions of both subjective and objective factors. The former includes translator’s motivation & objective, as well as his/her attitude towards the original work, while the latter involves the mainstream ideology and cultural tendency of the background, the translator’s economic situation and his/her translating modes.
