摘要
在“信息论基础”课程的教学过程中需要综合信道矩阵、编码和解码方法等内容来解释信息在有噪条件下传输的过程和效果。本文围绕“重要的事情说三遍”这一案例,利用费诺不等式这一数学工具,剖析三次简单重复编码方法作为一种极简信道编码方法的理论依据,在回答前述案例所提出的两个问题“为什么要重复三次”和“为什么三次才合适”的同时,让学生很好地掌握简单重复信道编码方法,更重要的是深刻理解利用理论工具费诺不等式为信道编码实现方法提供数学指导,体会“信息论基础”是一门学习怎么做,更是学会为什么这么做的有用课程。
During the teaching process of Fundamentals of Information Theory course,channel matrix,encoding and decoding methods should be combined to explain the process and effect of information transmission under noisy conditions.Focusing on the case of"important things need to be repeated for three times",with the mathematical tools of Fano inequality,this paper analyses the theoretical basis of the simple three-time repeat coding method,which is a minimal channel coding method.While answering the two questions raised by the examples,"Why to repeat three times"and"Why is it appropriate to repeat three times",let students have a good command of the simple repetitive channel coding method,and more importantly,they have a deep understanding of how to use the theoretical tool Fano inequality to provide mathematical guidance for the realization of channel coding method.And students will accept that Fundamentals of Information Theory course is a very useful course to teach both how and why.
