摘要
魏源在鸦片战争后深刻认识到世界形势的变化,适时提出了一系列新的外交方略,体现了丰富的文化内涵。他打破了传统地理上的“中国中心论”,也意识到文化多元的面向,因此倡导平等交流、各取所长;他还关注西方先进科学文化理论,对西方文教及政治制度等亦有相当程度的认可。魏源对相关对外政策的系列思考有着重要的现代启示意义,如他首倡开放理念,认为开放能广交朋友、实现国强民富,而今日中国正逐步形成全面开放新格局;他提出的文化多元论,亦能推进现代各国的互利互信、各安其民;中外一家说则更是现今国际社会应追寻的最终目标。
After the Opium War,Wei Yuan deeply realized the changes of the world situation and put forward a series of new diplomatic strategies with rich cultural connotation.He broke the“China-centered theory”in traditional geography,and was also aware of the cultural diversity,advocated equal exchanges,and each gained its own strengths.He also paid attention to the western advanced scientific and cultural theories and recognized the western cultural,educational and political systems.Wei Yuan’s series of thoughts on foreign policy have important modern enlightenment significance.For example,he was the first to advocate the concept of opening-up.He believed that opening-up would enable China to make more friends and make its people stronger and richer.Today,China is opening up in all respects.His theory of cultural pluralism can also promote the mutual benefit and mutual trust of modern nations and the security of their peoples.That China and foreign countries are like a family is the ultimate goal of the international community.
