摘要
基于韩礼德的语气隐喻理论,本文选取了The Modern Language Journal和Language Learning中的30篇学术论文作为语料库样本,对其进行人工标注,并运用SPSS Statistics 19软件进行单因素方差分析,旨在探析学术语篇中疑问语气隐喻的分布特征及其人际功能。结果显示:就总体分布情况而言,只有疑问语气隐喻体现陈述被应用于30篇学术论文中;疑问语气隐喻在文献综述部分的使用频率最高,且与其余部分存在显著性差异(p<0.05)。研究发现该类疑问语气隐喻在学术语篇中具有增加对话意识、强化语篇衔接和突出重点信息的功能,能增强论文的人际互动性、语篇连贯性和阅读有效性。此外,它在文献综述部分具有展示研究继承性和突出研究重要性的特殊功能,有助于实现文献综述部分的交际目的。
Based on the theory of mood metaphors proposed by Halliday,30 research articles(RAs)were randomly selected from The Modern Language Journal and Language Learning,and SPSS Statistics 19 is used to conduct One-way Analysis of Variance,aiming to investigate the distribution and interpersonal functions of interrogative mood metaphors in the academic discourses.The main findings are:regarding the overall distribution,only interrogative mood metaphors projecting statement occur in 30 RAs;and the interrogative mood metaphors are most frequently used in the section of literature review with a significant difference(p<0.05).It is also found out that the interrogative mood metaphors have the functions of increasing dialogism,strengthening cohesion and highlighting key information in the texts,which contribute to enhancing the interpersonal interaction,textual coherence and reading effectiveness of the RAs.In addition,interrogative mood metaphors not only display the inheritance between the present researches and previous researches,but also highlight the importance of the current studies in the literature review section,which helps to realize the communicative purposes of the section.
