A Research on the Job-requirement-directed English Teaching in Higher Vocational Schools

摘要 本文以文献和问卷调查的研究方法,从高职英语教学现状,学生个人发展和职业教育的本质要求三个方面分析高职英语教学以岗位需求为导向的必要性。在“职业英语作为第二语言教学(VESL)”理论指导下,有针对性地从教学目标的制定、课程设置、教学内容和教学方法四个方面立足“岗位需求”对英语教学策略进行研究,并依据“需求分析”理论,以酒店管理专业为例论述英语教学如何对接岗位需求。 By means of literature and questionnaire,the paper analyzes the necessity for job-requirement-directed English teaching in higher vocational schools from three aspects:the current situation of English teaching in vocational schools,the needs of students'employment and career development,and the essential requirements of vocational education.Under the guidance of the theory of"Vocational English as a Second Language(VESL)",this paper gives workable proposals to improve students’English skills at workplace by studying the teaching strategies from the aspects of the formulation of teaching syllabus,curriculum,teaching content and teaching methods.It also takes Hotel Management major as an example to study how English teaching meets job requirements according to“Needs Analysis”.
