摘要
特殊的海洋地理条件与历史演进过程,为多元文化在台湾地区“生根发芽”创造了良好的条件。而西人这一“他者”视野能够跳脱原有中文语言体系的束缚,更为完满地呈现19世纪中西文化在台湾地区的互动,这是借助族群间的互动观察与评价实现的:其一,西人以其西方视角指出汉人文化的滞后性,却对汉人的勇敢勤劳给予了肯定。其二,西人在展现少数族群原始朴素的同时,别有用心地挖掘其宗教属性。其三,西人对中国传统语境中的西人形象进行了反驳,并尝试重构其自身形象。其四,对于汉人与少数族群两者的相互评价,西人大多不予置评,却隐晦地对后者表示支持。虽然西人在多元变换视角下对台湾社会、文化进行的考察,得以呈现出更为真实、动态的近代台湾社会图景。然而,多元视角下的族群形象互动,却依旧难以摆脱特定历史背景下的文化歧视格局。
The special marine geographical conditions and historical deduction process have created favorable conditions for the establishment of multi-culture in Chinese Taiwan.The“other”vision of Westerners can break away from the shackles of original Chinese language system,and more fully present the interaction between Chinese culture and Western one in Taiwan in the 19th century,which is achieved through the interactive observation and evaluation of ethnic groups.Firstly,Westerners point out the lag of the Hans'culture from the western perspective,but affirm the courage and diligence of the Hans.Secondly,while showing the primitive simplicity of minority ethnic groups,the Westerners have ulterior motives to excavate the religious attributes.Thirdly,the Westerners refute their images in the traditional Chinese context and try to re-construct their own ones.Fourthly,most of the Westerners do not comment on the mutual evaluation between the Hans and the minority ethnic groups,but implicitly support the latter.Although the Westerners'investigation of Taiwan's society and culture from the perspective of pluralistic transformation can present a more real and dynamic picture of modern Taiwan society,the image interaction of ethnic groups from the multi-perspective can't easily get rid of the cultural discrimination pattern under the specific historical background.
