摘要
Why do we publish papers?I cannot speak for all,but like many others,my students and I publish to report progresses and innovations addressing one or more elements of materials research(e.g.,synthesis and processing,microstructures and characterization,material properties,or performances and applications).Sometimes,it is to disclose a finding and to show a new angle of thinking,to document data and protocols,to share thoughts and solutions of a problem,and sometimes it is to dispute earlier interpretations and to call for actions.We aspire to share something useful for others and to add as much intellectual value as possible to the scientific literature.
