Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of Pender health promotion model in the treatment of limb fractures. Methods:A total of 112 patients with limb fractures treated with surgery were divided into the control group and observation group according to the random number table(56 cases in each group). The control group was nursed using routine care, and the observation group was nursed using the Pender health promotion model care. The clinical efficacy, healthy behavior before and after intervention, negative emotion and incidence rate of postoperative limb swelling were compared between two groups. Results:There was no statistical significance in the total effective rate between two groups(P>0.05).The scores of the mental health, interpersonal relationship, physical activity, health responsibility, stress management, nutrition and healthy behavior in observation group after 1 month of intervention were higher than those in control group(P<0.01).The scores of SAS and SDS in observation group were higher than those in control group(P<0.01),the incidence rate of gradeⅠswelling in observation group after 7 d of operation were higher than that in control group, and the differences of the incidence rates of gradeⅡandⅢswelling between two groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusions:Pender health promotion model care is effective in the treatment of limb fractures, which can improve the healthy behavior, and reduce the negative emotions and limb swelling.
