摘要
珍妮特·温特森被称为“英国当代文坛最好,也是最具争议性的作家之一”,其自传《我要快乐,不必正常》荣获“兰姆达文学奖”。小说中作者真实地呈现女同性恋者面对的种种社会歧视与她们所遭遇的内心矛盾及冲突。运用荣格的原型理论,着力剖析“阿尼姆斯”“母亲”“人格面具”“阴影”“自性”原型在温特森同性性取向过程中的作用,并在此基础上探讨她是如何面对因同性恋产生的内在、外在矛盾,以及最终如何获得“自性”,真正接受自己的同性取向。从而展示温特森对人类生存的思考,对建立多种性别形式和谐共存的社会的渴望,帮助人们以包容的态度对待不同性别取向,推动社会文明的多元化发展。
Jeanette Winterson is titled as“one of the best and most controversial writers in contempo⁃rary English literature”.Her autobiographical novel Why Be Happy When You Could Be Normal?has won Lambda Literary Award.In the novel,Winterson truly presents the social discrimination faced by lesbians,as well as their inner contradictions and conflicts.Using Carl Jung’s archetypal theory,this paper focuses on the role of the archetypes of“Animus”,“Mother”,“Persona”,“Shadow”and“Self”in the formation of Winterson’s homosexual orientation.On the basis of above-mentioned analyses,it discusses how she faces the internal and external contradictions caused by homosexuality,and how she finally obtains the“Self”and truly accepts her homosexual orientation.The paper shows Winterson’s thoughts on human sur⁃vival and her desire to build a society in which multiple forms of gender coexist harmoniously.This re⁃search aims to help people treat different sexual orientation with a more inclusive attitude,and promote the diversity of social civilization.
