摘要
英语国家高校修读中国文学课程的大学生是英译中国文学的重要读者群体和中国文学海外传播不可忽视的推动力量,而课程教材的选用则关系着中国文学在海外大学生群体中的传播效果。文章探讨了北美高校中国文学本科教学中学生读者对教材选用的影响,指出,尽管中国文学课程教授者是教材选择的主导者和决策者,但作为教学对象的大学生读者也是影响教材选择的重要因素。研究认为,学生的族群或文化身份、学习兴趣或动机以及汉语语言文学认知能力等因素会对教材选择产生一定的影响。
Undergraduate students taking Chinese literature as an elective course in English speaking countries are important reader groups and are nonnegligible driving force in overseas communication of Chinese literature,while the selection of teaching materials for the course concerns the communication effect of Chinese literature among overseas students.In this article students’impact upon the selection of teaching materials for undergraduate Chinese literature teaching in some North American universities has been discussed.It is pointed out that,though teachers of Chinese literature are the dominant agents and final decision makers in terms of selection of teaching materials,students as teaching objects are also important factors which can have influence upon the selection of teaching materials.It is argued that their ethnic or cultural identity,their interests and learning motifs and their cognitive competence in terms of Chinese language and literature can have influence upon selection of teaching materials to a certain extent.
