Objective:To explore the effect of the change of left atrial diameter on atrial fibrillation in patients with essential hypertension.Methods:156 patients with primary hypertension who were admitted to a hospital from January 2019 to May 2020 were selected and randomly divided into three groups,of which 52 patients were in the group of persistent atrial fibrillation,52 patients were in the paroxysmal atrial fibrillation group, and 52 patients with hypertension and no atrial fibrillation were in the control group. The left atrial diameter(LAD)and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)were detected by ultrasound dynamic electrocardiogram. Results:The incidence of LAD,LVEF,and left atrial enlargement in the group of persistent atrial fibrillation were higher than those in the paroxysmal atrial fibrillation group and the control group, while the above-mentioned indicators in the paroxysmal atrial fibrillation group were all higher than those in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:Patients with hypertension and atrial fibrillation will have a tendency to increase the left atrial inner diameter and decrease the left ventricular ejection fraction, indicating that the change in the left atrial inner diameter has an effect on atrial fibrillation, and the change in the left atrial inner diameter is closely related to the occurrence of atrial fibrillation.
