摘要
为满足工业无线传感器、视频监控和可穿戴设备等中端物联网用例的需求,3GPPRel-17研究定义5G新空口(NR)低复杂度低成本终端(即RedCap UE)。介绍了5G RedCap UE的主要用例与标准化目标,分析了RedCap UE降低复杂度与成本、终端节能、终端指示与识别等关键技术,分析了RedCap UE的性能,介绍了RedCap UE标准化的进展,并总结出RedCap UE将拓展5G新的应用场景。
In order to meet the requirements of midrange IoT use cases such as industrial wireless sensors,video surveillance and wearable devices,3GPP Rel-17 defines 5G NR low-complexity and low-cost terminals(i.e.,RedCap UE).The main use cases and standardization objectives of NR RedCap UE are firstly introduced,and then the key technologies of RedCap UE are analyzed for complexity and cost reduction,terminal energy saving,terminal indication and identification.Furthermore,the performance of RedCap UE is analyzed and the standardization progress of RedCap UE is introduced.Finally,it is summarized that RedCap UE expands novel 5G application scenarios.
