摘要
自公共艺术出现在澳大利亚的各个城市空间中以来,经过不断的实践和探索,艺术家在社会文化领域与公众之间建立了更加广泛的联系,公共艺术的形式和内涵也变得更为丰富。目前,公共艺术已经成为澳大利亚各大学的重要实践型研究课程,并以多元和包容的状态不断地发展。本文将通过梳理澳大利亚公共艺术的起源、发展、演变,反思在全球化和城市化进程中的公共艺术的教学实践和研究方式,并以澳大利亚首个开设"艺术在公共空间"专业课程的大学——墨尔本皇家理工大学(RMIT University)为例,讨论"艺术在公共空间"专业的教学框架,探索以实践为主导的研究方法(Practice-led research)在公共艺术专业的教学中的作用和发展路径。同时,将通过分析艺术在社区中的实践案例,探索参与式艺术与社区的关系,以及公共艺术实践如何把社会性议题与个人体验相融合,协调不同文化群体之间的复杂关系。
Since the emergence of public art in Australian urban spaces,artists have established more extensive links with the public in the socio-cultural sphere.The forms and connotations of public art have also become more affluent.At present,public art has become an essential practical research course at various universities in Australia in a progressing state of pluralism and inclusion.This essay will analyse the origin,development and evolution of public art in Australia to reflect on the practice and research methods of public art education in the process of globalization and urbanization.It will take the first public art professional course at RMIT University in Australia,as an example,to discuss the teaching methods of public art professional courses and explore the roles of practice-led research in teaching and disciplinary development.At the same time,by analyzing the practical cases of art in the community,it will explore the relationship between participatory art and the community,and how public art practice can integrate social issues with personal experience to coordinate the complex relationship between different cultural groups.
