摘要
[目的/意义]研究方法在学术研究中发挥着重要作用,是高效科学解决问题的关键所在。文章调查和比较了中美高校图书情报学硕士教育计划中研究方法课程设置情况,以期为我国高校进行课程改革提供参考。[方法/过程]主要采用了内容分析和实证研究方法,调查了中美37所院校图书情报学硕士教育计划中的研究方法课程情况,从课程类型、课程名称和课程内容三个方面比较了目前中美研究方法教育异同,并探讨了图书情报学的研究方法教育变革的趋势或着力点。[结果/结论]美国LIS硕士教育中开设的研究方法课程比我国更细、更专,美国的做法值得借鉴;中美LIS硕士教育中研究方法课程内容建设存在差异,我国需要加强应用实践教育,缩小理论与实践之间的差距。
[Purpose/significance] Research methods play an essential role in academic research and are also the key to solve problems efficiently and scientifically.This paper investigates and compares the Master of Library and Information Science(LIS) education program’s research method course in Chinese and American universities and provides a reference for the course reform of the Master of LIS education in Chinese universities.[Method/process] In this paper, two research methods, content analysis and empirical research, are used to investigate the research methods courses in the master’s education program of LIS in 37 universities in China and the United States.This paper compares the similarities and differences between Chinese and American research method education from three aspects of course type, course name, course content, and probes into the trend or focal point of the reform of research method education in LIS.[Result/conclusion] The investigation shows that the content of research method courses offered in the master’s degree program of LIS in the United States is more detailed and professional than that in China.The practice of American universities is worthy of reference.There are differences in the course content construction of research methods in LIS master education between China and the United States.Therefore, China needs to strengthen applied practice education of this course to narrow the gap between theory and practice.
