摘要
作为一门诞生于21世纪第一个十年的新学科,神经艺术史运用神经可塑性、镜像神经元、神经奖励系统等神经生物学原理,辅以神经科学实验技术,致力于融通当代认知神经科学和传统艺术史生平传记研究两种学术话语,既具有浓重的科学实证主义色彩,又体现出强烈的思辨性特征。神经艺术史在脑科学和认知科学迅猛发展的时代语境中,再次回应了汉斯·贝尔廷关于“艺术史终结”的话题,同时也可以被视为传统经验主义美学的新一轮复兴。
Establishing neural art history as a new academic discipline in the first decade of the 21st century,researchers have been applying neurobiological principles such as neural plasticity,mirror neurons,and neural reward systems,supplemented by neuroscientific experimental techniques,endeavouring to integrate the two academic discourses of contemporary cognitive neuroscience and traditional art history biographical research,thus aiming for a dialogue possessing both strong scientific positivism and speculative characteristics.In the context of the rapid development of brain science and cognitive science,neural art history may be perceived as a response to Hans Belting's"end of the history of art",and can also be regarded as a new wave of revival of traditional empirical aesthetics.
