摘要
本文从简谐振动的修正出发,对2020年青年物理学家锦标赛(IYPT2020)的第六个课题“撒克逊碗(Saxon Bowl)”进行了理论分析和实验探究.该课题描述了古代撒克逊人利用底部有孔的碗计时这一史实,且这样一个碗下沉的模型可以作为生动案例,增强学生对简谐振动、阻尼振动的理解.本文的研究方式避免了冗杂的公式推导,得到了简洁方程,利用计算机求解微分方程,并用实验结果验证,证实了理论的可行性,并定性研究了若干因素对下沉时间的影响.
Starting from the correction of harmonic vibration,theoretical analysis and experimental exploration on the sixth topic Saxon bowl of IYPT2020 are carried out.This topic describes a fact that the ancient Saxons used the bowl with holes on bottom to tell the time.Such a bowl sinking model can be used as a vivid case to enhance students understanding of simple harmonic vibration and damped vibration.In this way,the complicated formula derivation is avoided and the simple equation is obtained.By using computer to solve the differential equation and doing experiments,the feasibility of the theory is proved and the influence of some factors on the sinking time is studied.
