摘要
随着现代商业和物流行业的快速发展,商品包装的需求量巨大,人们对包装的要求也逐渐提高。高阻隔膜材料因其优异的阻隔性能和对商品的有效保护而被广泛应用于食品、药品、电子器件及军用品等领域。目前,高阻隔性膜材料主要来源于石油基塑料,而塑料不可降解,对环境造成了极大负担,因此亟需开发可降解的高阻隔性包装膜材料。生物质材料由于具有可降解性、可再生性越来越受到人们的重视。目前,以生物质为原料制备高阻隔性包装膜被广泛研究,有望在未来替代塑料包装。笔者从不同生物质材料(如纤维素、木质素、半纤维素、壳聚糖等)的角度出发,综述了近年来生物质基高阻隔复合膜的研究现状。重点介绍了以生物质为基质或增强填料与其他物质复合制备高阻隔性包装膜的研究,分析了不同生物质对复合膜阻隔性能的影响以及不同生物质基高阻隔膜的阻隔性能和使用范围,旨在探讨生物质作为高阻隔性包装膜材料的应用价值和潜力,并为生物质基高阻隔复合膜的进一步研究开发以有效替代塑料包装膜提供理论参考。
The rapid development of modern commerce and logistics industries has promoted the progress of the global packaging industry.Increasing demand for long lifetimes and high quality of products has driven considerable interest and research in barrier encapsulation.Polymer barrier films are widely applied in a variety of fields,including food preservation,pharmaceuticals packaging,encapsulation of electronics,etc.At present,petroleum-based polymers(e.g.,polyethylene(PE),polyethylene terephthalate(PET),polyvinyl chloride(PVC),etc.)are the main sources for the production of barrier encapsulation products due to their good processability,durable,low-cost,outstanding mechanical,optical and barrier properties.Nevertheless,such polymer materials show strong resistance to biodegradation,and their excessive use would not only lead to the consumption of non-renewable petroleum resources and the pollution to environments from non-degradable wastes,but also pose a potential threat to human health.In this sense,it is imperative to develop sustainable and degradable barrier encapsulation materials for packaging applications as replacements of petroleum-based polymers.Biomass,as an environmentally friendly natural polymer material,has the advantages of wide sources,rich content,diverse types,biocompatibility,renewable,and degradable,which meets the requirements of green and sustainable developments.Biomass is used as a matrix or reinforcing filler to form films with other polymers,which can significantly improve the performance of the composite films,including barrier properties,degradability,and biocompatibility.Therefore,the biomass is a raw material for high-barrier packaging films with great development potential.In this review,the current research status of the high-barrier composite films prepared with various biomasses as matrix or reinforcing fillers were introduced and summarized.Starting from different biomass raw materials(such as cellulose,lignin,hemicellulose,chitosan,etc.),the advantages of different biomasses,the methods of various biomasses and other polymers to prepare high-barrier composite films,and the properties of different biomass-based composite films were discussed.Moreover,the current issues and prospects for the development of this field were addressed and discussed,which provide theoretical reference for further research of biomass-based high barrier composite films and effective replacement of plastic packaging films.
