摘要
清中后期,泽州乡村社会中的赌博之风愈演愈烈,不仅影响个体生计,妨碍个人品行修养,亦破坏家庭伦理,败坏社会风气,扰乱社会治安,成为地方政府与村社组织关注的焦点。对于赌风的盛行,地方政府侧重以“礼”治民,村社组织更多以“俗”待人,呈现出不同的治赌方式,但共同的治赌诉求,又使双方默契合作,无形中构建出“礼俗兼施”的乡村社会治赌路径,然而治赌成效却不尽如人意。究其根源,不仅在于清代官方严苛的禁赌政令,也与村社组织的权威薄弱相关。
In the middle and late Qing Dynasty,gambling became more and more popular in rural society of Zezhou,which not only affected individual livelihood and hindered individual moral cultivation,but also destroyed family ethics,ruined social atmosphere and disturbed social order so that it became the focus of local government and village communities,with the former emphasizing“etiquette”more and the latter turning to“custom”as for ways to govern gambling.However,with the common demands of gambling governing,the two sides cooperated with each other by tacit understanding,forming a rural social gambling governance pattern of“etiquette and custom”,but the result of gambling governance was not satisfactory.The reason was rooted in the government’s strict ban on gambling and the weak authority of village organizations as well.
