摘要
美国华人作家哈金,继康拉德和纳博科夫之后,开创了非母语移民作家用第二语言书写的新道路。哈金的创作在英语文学中熔铸汉语思维和表达,并在文本中还原了离散群体(diaspora)的族裔语言,坚持"可译性"的文学实验,为离散书写(diasporic writing)开辟了文学范例。我们可以哈金的写作实践来进一步考察当代离散作家的写作困境:一方面,如何能在语言的移植中做出真正的创新,同时在母语和第二语言文学中都探索出新的空间;另一方面,如何同时处理来自母语和第二语言读者的阅读期待、历史背景、知识体系和审美品位,平衡两种历史文化、语言系统、文学传统建构起来的参照体系。
After Joseph Conrad and Vladimir Nabokov,Chinese American writer Ha Jin created a new path writing in a second language as a non-mother-tongue migration writer.Ha Jin merges Chinese thinking and expression in his English literary writing and returns to the ethnic diasporic language,and by holding onto the literary experimentation with translatability,he has provided literary examples in diasporic writing.Based on Ha Jin’s writing experience,we can look at the dilemma of contemporary diasporic writers to see how,on one hand,real creation can be achieved in the transplantation of language while new space is explored in the mother tongue and the second language and how,on the other hand,to simultaneously deal with the expectation of the readers from the mother tongue and the second language,historical background and system of knowledge,as balanced with the reference system constructed on the historical culture,language system and literary tradition.
