Objective To investigate the effect of self-management behavior on coping style in patients with acute cerebral infarction(ACI)after thrombolytic therapy. Methods A total of 76 patients with ACI who received thrombolytic therapy in Runan County People’s Hospital from February 2019 to March 2020 were selected as the research subjects. One month after discharge, the coping styles of all patients were assessed and grouped using the short coping style questionnaire(SCSQ).The level of self-management behavior was assessed using the self-care competency scale(ESCA).The effect of self-management behavior level on coping style in ACI patients after thrombolytic therapy was analyzed. Results Among the 76 ACI patients,37(48.68%)patients responded positively, and 39(51.32%)patients responded negatively. The ESCA score of the patients who responded negatively was lower than that of the patients who responded positively(P<0.05).There was no statistical difference in other data between the two groups(P>0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that low ESCA score was associated with the tendency of patients to adopt negative coping styles after ACI thrombolysis(P<0.05).Conclusion Patients with ACI thrombolysis have a higher risk of adopting negative coping styles in clinical treatment, and patients with low self-management behaviors are more likely to adopt negative coping styles.
