“作者”崛起之谜:早期中国作者身份研究的回顾与前瞻

摘要在文献学、图书史的研究中,作者身份研究是一个薄弱环节。中外学者对于早期中国作者身份的研究,主要从作者概念、作者意识、作者考证、作者功能四个维度展开。从历时性的发展看,该议题早在春秋战国时期就被提出,但直至20世纪20年代以后才被重视,专门性的探讨逐渐提上日程。20世纪20年代至80年代,基于对辨伪思潮的反思和对古书体例的认知,作者考证研究占据上风。1990年代以后,随着西方理论的引入,作者概念、作者观、作者功能等话题开始进入学者的视野,研究逐渐上升到哲学层面。四个维度的作者身份研究,展现了这一议题的丰富性和延展性,作者身份研究方兴未艾。但就所取得的成果来说,仍然存在不少问题。认识这些问题的症结所在,是这一研究继续推进和突破的关键。作者身份研究将丰富和拓展文献学、图书史的内容,使目录学更好地体现“辨章学术,考镜源流”的功能。 In the fields of philology and book history,the attention paid to the study of authorship is far from enough by now.The studies about authorship in early China can be divided into four subthemes:the concept of author,authorship consciousness,textual research about authors,and the functions of author.From the diachronic perspective,this topic was put forward as early as in the Spring and Autumn Period,but its study did not gain momentum until the 1920s.From the 1920s to the 1980s,the textual research about authors attracted scholars most attention due to the reflection to“bianwei”(identification of pseudographs)and the understanding of the stylistic rules of ancient books.Since the 1990s,with the introduction of western theories,the concept of author,views on authorship and functions of author have been discussed by scholars from different academic backgrounds.Even philosophical study was brought into the research of authorship.The four subthemes of authorship show the richness and extensibility of the topic.While the research on this topic is flourishing,some problems need to be pointed out and improvements need to be made in order to push forward the study of authorship.The achievements on this topic will enrich and deepen the study of classical texts and book history,and demonstrate the function of“bianzhang xueshu,kaojing yuanliu”(reflecting the origin and development of scholarship)of Chinese traditional bibliography in a modern way.
