In order to investigate the effect of compound Chinese herbal medicine additive on the prevention and treatment of subclinical mastitis and the effect of milk production performance in dairy cows, this study selected DHI(Dairy Herd Improvement)data from a dairy farm in Shaanxi province from 2014 to 2019 to analyze the incidence of subclinical mastitis,305-day milk yield, daily milk yield, lactation persistence, peak lactation and calving interval before and after the administration of compound Chinese herbal medicine additive in October 2016.The results showed that the incidence of subclinical mastitis was significantly decreased after the administration of compound Chinese herbal medicine additive(P<0.05).305 d milk yield was significantly increased(P<0.01),and the fluctuation of milk yield decreased with seasonal alternation, while the lactation persistence became stable and close to 100%.The peak lactation was significantly delayed(P<0.05),but there was no significant change in calving interval(P>0.05).The results indicated that the supplementation of compound Chinese herbal medicine had a certain prevention and control effect on subclinical mastitis and could improve the milk performance of dairy cows.
