Junzo Sakakura studied architecture under Le Corbusier, and became active in the forefront of Japanese architecture after returning to Japan. As the first generation of Japanese architects, his sense of mission and responsibility is reflected in his love for the local culture and strong desire to revive the quintessence of architecture. As an architect, he combined Japanese culture with his own reading and re-interpretation of traditional eternal rules to form a unique architectural language, and designed many local buildings. In the process of combing and thinking about the relationship between man, architecture and environment with the core concept of architecture "organism", and inheriting the ideas from his teacher Le Corbusier, he gradually formed his architectural thought with "love of man" as the core. The paper takes his architectural design as the breakthrough point, analyzes and interprets his architectural spirit and the appearance of modern architecture in his eyes from his concept of "human settlement".
