摘要
将磷-氮膨胀阻燃剂和溴锑阻燃剂分别单独或者按照一定的比例复配与聚丙烯(PP)熔融共混挤出制备阻燃PP复合材料,通过垂直燃烧测试、锥形量热测试、热失重分析、扫描电镜测试等研究其阻燃性能和阻燃机理,通过力学实验研究不同阻燃剂的添加对PP物理性能的影响。结果表明,单独添加膨胀型阻燃剂,阻燃剂的含量达到21%才能实现1.6mm样条UL-94 V-0级,单独添加溴锑阻燃剂,阻燃剂的添加量为32%时,2mm的样条只能达到V-1级,将膨胀型阻燃剂和溴锑阻燃剂复配,总添加量19%可以实现1.6mm样条UL-94 V-0级;在锥形量热测试中,复配体系的Av-HRR、Av-EHC、THR值都明显降低,形成的残炭更加坚硬致密。磷-氮膨胀型阻燃剂和溴锑阻燃剂复配可以降低阻燃剂的添加量,两者有明显的协效阻燃作用。
To investigate the single and combined flame-retardant effect of phosphorus-nitrogen intumescent flame retardant and bromine-antimony flame retardant in PP, intumescent flame retardant and bromine-antimony flame retardant were applied into PP by melt blending extrusion separately or in combination with a certain proportion, and then the flame retardant properties and flame retardant mechanism of PP was investigated through vertical burning test, cone calorimeter test, thermo gravimetric analysis and scanning electron microscopy test, and mechanical properties of PP were investigated by mechanical experiments. The results indicated that composite PP whose vertical burning splines with thickness of 1.6mm achieved a classifi cation of UL-94 V-0 when 21% of the intumescent flame retardant was added. When 32% of the bromine antimony flame retardant was added, the vertical burning splines with thickness of 2mm can reach UL-94 V-1. When the total amount of intumescent flame retardant and bromineantimony flame retardant reached 19%, flame retardant PP with the 1.6mm thickness can realize UL-94 V-0. The cone calorimeter test results showed that the Av-HRR, Av-EHC and THR values of the compound PP were lower and the residual carbon was more continuous and tougher in comparison with PP added 21% intumescent flame retardant. The combination of the phosphorus-nitrogen intumescent flame retardant and bromine-antimony flame retardant can reduce the total amount of the flame retardant, and the two had obvious synergistic effects.
