摘要
中国古典小说《儒林外史》中涉及大量的民俗、制度、宗教、心理等具有中国特色的文化元素,这些元素实际上处于不同的文化层级,本文将文化分为物质文化、制度文化、语言文化、心理文化,依托文化层级对负载词进行科学而精准的分类,以定量方式计算源语文本与译语文本之间的文化距离和文化忠实度,这有助于我们更加深入地窥视译者的翻译特色与文化立场。
The Chinese classical novel The Scholars involves a large number of cultural elements with Chinese characteristics,such as folk custom,system,religion and psychology.These elements are actually at different cultural levels.In this paper,culture is divided into material culture,system culture,language culture and psychological culture.Relying on the cultural level,the load words are scientifically and accurately classified.The quantitative calculation of the cultural distance and cultural faithfulness between the source text and the target text will help us to have a deeper insight into the translator’s translation strategies and cultural positions.
