摘要
Premature ovarian failure(POF)is a prevalent yet challenging condition in gynecology.Its incidence rate has been steadily rising in recent years and is trending among younger age groups.The premature failure of ovarian function,which poses a serious threat to women’s physical and mental health,has emerged as a topic of concern in current research.At present,it is believed that the causes of premature ovarian failure are multifaceted,and its pathogenesis is complex,some of which are still not well-understood.Therefore,this article discusses the research progress of the pathogenesis of premature ovarian failure caused by mitochondrial dysfunction and serves as a reference for the prevention and further research of this condition from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine treatment.
