摘要
目的 在成年人群中探索血清类胡萝卜素浓度,包括β-类胡萝卜素和叶黄素与代谢综合征(MS)及其组分的关联。方法 本研究数据来源于2015年深圳市南山区开展的慢性病与营养监测调查资料,共463人。MS的定义参考《中国2型糖尿病防治指南(2020年版)》。采用多元Logistic回归和多重线性回归对血清β-类胡萝卜素、叶黄素与MS及其组分的关联性进行分析。结果 MS患者血清β-类胡萝卜素和叶黄素浓度低于非MS参与者(P <0.05)。在多变量调整模型中,血清类胡萝卜素与MS患病率呈负相关。自然对数转换后的β-胡萝卜素和叶黄素每增加1个单位,MS的患病率分别下降69%和48%,比值比(95%置信区间)值分别为0.31(0.20, 0.46)和0.52(0.30, 0.90)。除此之外,血清β-胡萝卜素和叶黄素与MS部分组分相关(P <0.05)。结论 血清类胡萝卜素浓度与MS及其部分组分相关,食用富含类胡萝卜素的蔬菜和水果可能有助于MS的预防。[营养学报,2022,44(2):144-149]
Objective To explore the associations of serum carotenoid concentrations(β-carotene and lutein) with metabolic syndrome and its components in adults. Methods The data were derived from China Health and Nutrition Survey conducted among 463 participants in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, in 2015. Metabolic syndrome was defined with reference to the Chinese Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus(2020 Edition). A multiple logistic regression model and linear regression model were used to analyze the associations of serum β-carotene and lutein with metabolic syndrome and its components. Results The concentrations of serum β-carotene and lutein were significantly lower in participants with metabolic syndrome than in those without(P < 0.05). In the multivariable-adjusted models, the levels of serum carotenoids were negatively associated with the prevalence of metabolic syndrome. For each one-unit increase in natural log-transformed β-carotene and lutein, the prevalence of metabolic syndrome decreased by 69% and 48% respectively,with odds ratios(95% confidence interval) of 0.31(0.20, 0.46) and 0.52(0.30, 0.90), respectively. Besides, serum carotenoids were significantly associated with some of the components of metabolic syndrome(P < 0.05). Conclusion Serum carotenoid concentrations are significantly associated with metabolic syndrome and some of its components, and consumption of carotenoid-rich vegetables and fruits may contribute to the prevention of metabolic syndrome.
