摘要
英语世界的洛特曼译介始于20世纪60年代末。由此直至90年代初,在结构主义式微的学术语境下,英语世界在对洛特曼文学符号学思想的学理渊源探析和理论运用之中不断发掘其理论成果对结构主义的突破,从而构建了作为“结构主义革新者”的洛特曼形象。随着80-90年代文化研究思潮的不断推进,洛特曼的学术身份逐渐被书写为“走向多元的文化符号学家”。挖掘文化符号学思想的跨学科可能性成为了新时期洛特曼研究的主要倾向。从总体上看,英语世界学者致力于突出洛特曼理论思想的普适性,对其符号学理论的阐释寄予着突破与跨界的期待,在接受的过程中也凸显了一定的梳理和反思意识,但对于洛特曼围绕俄国文学和文化的探索则缺乏充分观照,洛特曼理论的完整学术价值有待进一步深研。
Lotman’s thoughts on semiotics entered the English-speaking world in the late 1960s. From then to the early 1990s, in the academic context where structuralism is gradually being replaced by deconstruction, the English-speaking world was exploring the breakthroughs of Lotman’s theoretical achievements to structuralism both in the course of studying the theoretical origin and during the theoretical application of Lotman’s literary semiotics. Thus, the image of Lotman as a “structuralist innovator”was constructed during this period. With the wide spread of cultural studies in the 1980s and 1990s, “Lotman in the English-speaking world” gradually transformed into an increasingly cross-border cultural semiotician. Digging out the interdisciplinary possibility of cultural semiotics has become the main content of Lotman studies at this stage. Generally speaking, scholars in the English-speaking world are committed to highlighting the universality of Lotman’s theoretical thoughts, and place high expectations on breakthroughs and cross-borders in the interpretation of Lotman’s semiotic theories. Meanwhile, the process of acceptance also reflects, to a certain extent,that researchers in the English-speaking world have a strong sense of summarizing and reflecting. However, there is a lack of sufficient reflection on Lotman’s exploration of Russian literature and culture, and the complete academic value of Lotman’s theories needs to be further presented.
