摘要
进入国家“十四五”规划的新阶段,在全球化持续空前发展的当下,应当再度反思英语作为中国外语教育主导地位的原因。根据彭尼库克的批判语言学基本原理,可以觉察三大因素促成了英语在中国的传播并形成了当下的地位。作为直接原因的个体学习选择是以被动为主,作为重要原因的国家语言规划是以国家利益为导向,而语言帝国主义则是其根本推动力。
Rethinking of the dominant position of English in China’s foreign language education should be taken in the first year of the national 14th five-year plan new period under the continuous and unpredictable globalization.Based on principles of Pennycook’s critical applied linguistics,three causes can be perceived leading the spread of English in China at present.Learning individual choice,as the direct cause,is passive generally;national language planning,the crucial cause,is interest-oriented while language imperialism is the rooted driving force.
