摘要
18—19世纪工业革命改变了英国乃至世界的经济、社会走向。随着工业化和城市化的发展,英国制定公共交通相关政策,修建收税公路、铁路、人工运河,建造火车、汽船、地铁等。城市交通革命推动了英国工业化进程和产业结构多元化,开启了英国城市郊区化时代,很大程度上改变了人们的生活方式。
The Industrial Revolution in the 18 th and 19 th centuries changed the economic and social trend of Britain and even the world. With the development of industrialization and urbanization, Britain formulated related policies of public transport, such as building turnpikes, railways, artificial canals and trains, steamboats and subways. The urban traffic revolution facilitated the industrialization process and industrial structure diversification, opened the era of urban suburbanization, and changed people’s life style to a great extent in Britain.
