语义波理论在大学英语课堂教学中的研究

摘要 本文基于社会学家Karl Maton提出的“合法化语码理论”及语义波理论,对以往学者针对该理论和英语教学的研究进行归纳分析,研究发现语义波理论能使学生在以往知识的基础上融会贯通新知识,从而实现累积式知识建构。本文先介绍该理论发展的背景与基本观点,进而回顾了近年来国内外学者将语义波理论用于英语教学理论和实践的研究,提出学者在该领域研究主要是从语义引力和语义密度的变化,将教师课堂话语作为语料,分析该理论指导下大学英语课堂教学的知识建构能力,并进一步指出该理论研究的空缺,对大学英语课堂教学提出新的建议。 Based on Legitimation Code Theory proposed by sociologist Karl Maton.The article summarizes and overview previous research on English language teaching and learning.The study finds that semantic wave theory enables students to integrate new knowledge on the basis of their previous knowledge,thus achieving cumulative knowledge construction.The article first introduces the background and basic views of the development of the theory,then reviews the research of scholars at home and abroad who have used semantic wave theory in English teaching theory and practice in recent years,suggesting that scholars’research in this field mainly focuses on the changes in semantic gravity and semantic density,taking teachers’classroom discourses as the corpus,analyzing the knowledge construction ability of university English classroom teaching under the guidance of the theory,and further points out the gaps in the research of the theory and put forward new suggestions for teaching and learning in university English classrooms.
