摘要
约翰·布林克霍夫·杰克逊是文化景观研究领域中的杰出思想家。杰克逊从城市与乡村两个研究视角出发,考察时代变迁带来的文化保护问题与环境问题。其通过概念辨析和对方法论的反思,开拓性地对文化景观进行分类,并探究其成因、根源和表征,更是挖掘出了景观的象征性意义。他通过演讲、教育、编撰专业期刊和书籍的方式,推动了文化景观的普及,开启了景观民主化的时代,促进了国际上对文化景观的保护。笔者梳理其文化景观思想的形成背景与发展历程,从乡土景观、美国景观史、场所感三方面探析其文化景观的思想内涵,从文化景观、教育意义、文化地理学、遗产保护四方面阐述其思想遗产的历史性贡献,不仅能为中国的风景园林历史理论研究与文化景观遗产保护传承工作提供启示,而且对风景园林学者增强地域认同、加强城乡特色景观风貌管控也具有现实意义。
John Brinkerhoff Jackson was an outstanding thinker in the field of cultural landscape research.He studied the problems of cultural protection and environment brought about by the changes of the times from urban and rural perspectives.Through conceptual discrimination and methodology reflection,he pioneered the classification of cultural landscape,explored the causes,roots and representations,and excavated the symbolic significance of landscape.He promoted the popularization of cultural landscape,ushered in an era of landscape democratization,and promoted the international protection of cultural landscape through speeches,education,and compilation of professional journals and books.The paper studies the formation background and development process of his cultural landscape thought.It analyzes the ideological connotation of his thought from the aspects of vernacular landscape,American landscape history and sense of place.The historical contribution of his ideological heritage is expounded from four aspects:cultural landscape,educational significance,cultural geography and heritage protection.The research provides important enlightenment for the research of Chinese history in landscape architecture and the protection and inheritance of cultural landscape legacy.It is also of great practical significance to enhance the regional identity of landscape architecture discipline and strengthen the management of urban and rural characteristic landscape.
