The composition analysis, particle size sieve analysis and mineral composition of the tailings of a uranium molybdenum mine were studied, and the comparative tests of different oxygen pressure leaching processes were carried out.The recoverable metals in the tailings are molybdenum and uranium. The content of molybdenum is high,up to nearly 0.6%,and the content of uranium is low, only 0.022%.Molybdenum is mainly distributed in the form of molybdenite/colloidal molybdenite, and most of it is wrapped by quartz particles with low degree of dissociation. The solution effect of molybdenum can be improved by pressurized oxidation decomposition process. The optimum technological conditions of oxygen pressure acid leaching, sodium hydroxide oxygen pressure alkali leaching and sodium carbonate oxygen pressure alkali leaching were determined through the condition test. The leaching rates of molybdenum reached 80.76%,85.32%and 80.49%respectively,and the uranium metal under the conditions of oxygen pressure acid leaching and sodium carbonate oxygen leaching could also be leached by 60%.The calculation results of reagent consumption cost show that the process cost of oxygen pressure acid leaching is the lowest.Considering comprehensively,it is suggested to choose oxygen pressure acid leaching process for tailings leaching process.
