Loose rock pore water samples are taken to be analyzed with iron, manganese, ammonium ions and nitrate of groundwater as analytical indexes. The statistic results show that the average contents of iron, manganese, ammonium ions and nitrate of the phreatic water are 0.04 mg·L^(-1),0.25 mg·L^(-1),0.11 mg·L^(-1) and 43.08 mg·L^(-1) respectively in hilly and their marginal areas, while the average contents of each index of the confined water are 28.91 mg·L^(-1),10.99 mg·L^(-1) 20.07 mg·L^(-1) and 2.83 mg·L^(-1) respectively in the plain areas. So the contents of iron, manganese and ammonium ions of the confined water in the plain areas are significantly higher than that of the phreatic water in hilly and their marginal areas, while the contents of nitrate of the confined water in plain areas are lower. The analysis shows that the contents of iron, manganese and ammonium ions of the confined water in the plain areas are generally high, which are mainly formed in the primary environment. The main influencing factors of their formation and enrichment are redox environment, aquifer medium, salinity, groundwater runoff conditions, etc.Their contents are positively correlated with COD and salinity. The contents of nitrate of the phreatic water are generally high due to the influence of human activities in hilly and their marginal areas.
