摘要
新见阜平君虎形钟虡自名当释作“虎[兔又](虡)”。虎,字形下部稍有讹变,此类写法又见于清华简等战国文字,释“虎”亦合于器物造型。[兔又],从“又”从“兔”,会捕兔之意,即甲骨文从“网”从“兔”之“[皿兔](罝)”字异体,在铭文中读为钟虡之“虡”,与西周匡卣铭文“兔■”读“兔罝”可以合证。
The self-reference of a newly seen tiger-shaped Bell Stand of the Lord of Fuping should be interpreted as hu ju虎[兔又](虡).The bottom of the character huis slightly corrupted,and this way of writing can be seen in the Tsinghua manuscripts and other Warring States writings,which also accords with the shape of the vessel.The graph[兔又]is composed of you又and tu兔,and connotates hunting rabbits.It is a variant form of ju[皿兔](罝)in oracle bone inscriptions.The graph’s reading as ju虡,is supported by analogy of reading兔■in the inscription of Western Zhou Kuang You-vessel匡卣as tu ju兔罝.
