摘要
自然语言处理是数据科学与大数据技术、智能科学与技术等新工科专业的一门重要专业课。课程融合了语言学、统计学和机器学习等交叉学科,在综合性、理论性和实践性方面具有一定挑战。当前人工智能领域强大的人才需求推动了许多高校在本科阶段开设自然语言处理入门课程。该文探索了兼顾理论和实践的自然语言处理入门课程教学模式:(1)结合课程的主要理论知识,以课堂授课形式引领学生快速进入该领域;(2)结合自然语言处理领域热门项目,以翻转课堂形式督促学生主动实践,内化理论知识,培养实战经验,提升学习效果。
As one of key technologies in the field of artificial intelligence, Natural Language Processing(NLP) is an interdisciplinary subject integrating linguistics, statistics and machine learning, etc. Driven by strong market demand for talents, it is meaningful to offer an introductory course of NLP facing to the undergraduate students. This paper explores a teaching method combining theory with practice: 1) Main theoretical knowledge in NLP field is introduced to students quickly through traditional teacher-centered teaching;2) Provided with popular applications of NLP, students are urged to take the initiative to practice, internalize knowledge, develop practical experience and improve learning effectiveness significantly in flipped class.
