This paper discusses the interactive development relationship between Chinese financial and manufacturing industry from different aspects, clarifies the interactive mechanism of the high-quality development of the two industries, and constructs the high-quality coupling and collaborative development index system of the two industries. Moreover,we use the entropy weight methods and coupling index to measure and analyze the comprehensive development level, coupling collaborative development level and evolution differences of the two industries from 2011 to 2020.We also use the panel data model to explore influencing factors of the coupling collaborative development of the two industries. It is found that the level of the coupled and coordinated development of China’s financial industry and manufacturing industry has been steadily improved and maintained at the primary stage of coordinated development. In the three regions, the level of coupled and coordinated development of the two industries is uneven. The wage gap between the two industries, the level of fiscal expenditure, the degree of opening up and the urbanization rate have a significant impact on the coupling and coordinated development of the two industries. Finally,it puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to promote the good coupling and coordinated development of China’s financial industry and manufacturing industry.
