基于涡旋半波片制备多种混合阶庞加莱球光束

Generation of Various Hybrid-Order PoincaréSphere Beams Based on Vortex Half-Wave Plates

摘要 柱矢量涡旋光束偏振态呈现柱对称分布并且具有螺旋形相位波前,可以用混合阶庞加莱球表示。基于对琼斯矩阵的推导,提出并验证了一种利用涡旋半波片产生多种混合阶庞加莱球光束的方法。通过合理设计涡旋半波片和半波片、1/4波片的组合,能够产生混合阶庞加莱球上任意位置对应的柱矢量涡旋光束。通过级联多个涡旋半波片,能够进一步扩大混合阶庞加莱球光束的阶数范围。实验上,对制备出的多种混合阶庞加莱球光束的偏振态分布进行了测量,并验证了其偏振阶数和拓扑荷数。该方法光路简单、调节方便,可以实现对拓扑荷数和偏振阶数的独立调控,在光学微操控、光学探测与传感,以及矢量涡旋光源设计等方面有潜在的应用价值。 The cylindrical vector vortex beam presents a cylindrically symmetrical polarization state distribution and has a helical phase wavefront,which can be described by a hybridorder Poincarésphere.In this paper,based on the deduction of Jones matrix,we propose and demonstrate a method for generating arbitrary cylindrical vector vortex beams on a hybridorder Poincarésphere using vortex halfwave plates.By using the combination of vortex halfwave plate,halfwave plate,and quarterwave plate,it is feasible to generate cylindrical vector vortex beams at different positions on the hybridorder Poincarésphere.The range of orders of hybridorder Poincarésphere beams can be further expanded by cascading multiple vortex halfwave plates.In experiments,we have measured the polarization state distribution of various beams at different positions on the hybridorder Poincarésphere,and verified their polarization order and topological charge.This simple and flexible method can realize the independent manipulation of topological charge and polarization order,and has potential value for applications including optical micromanipulation,optical detection and sensing,and design of novel vector vortex laser sources.
