The enhancement of the resilience of the social-ecological system will make the system more stable and resistant, which is crucial to the realization of sustainable development. This paper constructs a comprehensive evaluation index system for the social-ecological system resilience of coastal tourist destinations from the social and ecological subsystems, and analyzes the spatio-temporal evolution characteristics of the social ecosystem of 114 coastal cities from 2010 to 2020, as well as the identification of obstacle influencing factors. The conclusions are as follows:(1) During the study period, the interannual variation of social ecosystem resilience is small and relatively stable, but there are also fluctuations;(2) In 2020, the top five are Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou,Zhuhai and Hangzhou. Compared with 2010, Beijing replaced Shanghai in the first place;(3) The resilience of the social life system of 114 coastal tourist destinations shows a positive spatial correlation. High value clusters are concentrated in the Yangtze River Delta, while low value clusters are concentrated in the northeast coast;(4) The number of beds in hospitals and health centers(SR5) appeared most frequently, followed by fixed asset investment(SR4), expenditure on energy conservation and environmental protection(ER3), industrial nitrogen oxide emissions(EV2) and total water resources(ER6).
