摘要
国剧运动在戏剧艺术“为人生”的主流思潮中逆势而生,倡导一种“由中国人用中国材料去演给中国人看的中国戏”,主张回归戏剧艺术本体,追求“纯粹的艺术”,追求融合中西、古今同梦的“完美戏剧”。国剧运动是中国戏剧现代化进程中重要的一环,它强调戏剧艺术的本体特征及其作为一门艺术的独立性和纯粹性,注重戏剧艺术的审美特性,试图纠正现代戏剧过度强调戏剧艺术社会功用所带来的偏失;它对戏剧“中国属性”的强调,意味着国剧运动的倡导者已认清了在戏剧现代化进程中保持戏剧民族性的重要意义。更为重要的是,余上沅尝试用“写意”这一术语来建立中国戏剧的话语体系,并使之与西方戏剧的写实性特征相对峙。这一术语已渗入到中国戏剧现代化的发展脉络中,成为思考如何处理中西戏剧文化关系、如何考量跨文化语境下传统戏曲艺术价值的重要理论术语。
The National Opera Movement was born against the trend in the mainstream trend of theatrical art—for life,advocating a kind of "Chinese opera performed by Chinese people with Chinese materials". It attached great importance to the noumenon of drama art,pursued "pure art",and aimed to create a perfect drama that integrates Chinese and Western cultures. The National Opera Movement is an important part of the modernization process of Chinese drama. First of all,it emphasized the ontological characteristics of drama art and its independence and purity as an art,paid attention to the aesthetic characteristics of drama art,and attempted to correct the bias brought about by the excessive emphasis on the social function of dramatic art in modern drama. Secondly,the emphasis on the "Chinese attribute" of drama means that the advocates of the National Opera Movement have clearly recognized the importance of maintaining the nationality of drama in the process of drama modernization. More importantly,Yu Shangyuan tried to use the term "Xieyi" to establish the discourse system of Chinese drama and made it opposed to the realistic characteristics of Western drama. This term has penetrated into the development context of Chinese drama modernization and has become an important theoretical term for thinking about how to deal with the relationship between Chinese and Western drama culture and how to consider the artistic value of traditional drama in a cross-cultural context.
