摘要
学界对科学与宗教关系的理论认识经历了从“冲突论”到“不同类型说”,再到“历史复杂论”的过程。作为当前科学史学界的主流观点,历史复杂论意在通过对科学与宗教关系历史的实证研究来解构各种类型论。对其语境主义与概念史两种代表进路的分析显示,历史复杂论者对消解类型学说给出的论证是非常有说服力的。加拿大学者伊夫·金格拉斯指出,历史复杂论不支持一般性的结论,并将之置于对话热潮的背景之下进行批判。进一步的考察显示这种批判误解了历史复杂论的立场,但也让人看到历史复杂论的解构并不彻底。历史复杂论对各种类型学说的消解应当被肯定,但也要认识到它并不是关于科学与宗教关系的一般性理论,对讨论科学与宗教关系的当下和未来启发甚微。
The western academic opinion about relationship between science and religion has gone through a process from"conflict thesis"to"different types thesis"and then to"complexity thesis".As the mainstream view,the complexity thesis aims to deconstruct various typology theories through a positivism research about the history of the relationship between science and religion.An.analysis of its contextualism and begriffsgeschichte shows that the deconstruction is convincing.As a Canadian scholar,Yves Gingras claims that the complexity thesis does not support the general conclusion and criticize it in the context of the upsurge of dialogue.Further analysis shows that such criticism misunderstands the position of the complexity thesis,but it also shows that the deconstruction is not complete.We should affirm the complexity thesis which deconstruction of various typology theories,but also realize that its not a general theory,and it gives little inspiration on the present and fiiture of the relationship between science and religion.
