说起“两袖清风”,就不得不提明朝的于谦一一位正直诚实的官员。于谦出生在钱塘(今浙江省省会杭州)。他24岁中进士,从此踏入官场。为官期间,于谦心怀百姓,廉洁奉公,在民间颇具名声和威望。在被任命为朝廷官员之前,于谦是河南省和山西省的巡抚。当时,两省天灾频发,山西多饥荒,河南多水灾。于谦两头兼顾,半年住山西,关注百姓的温饱问题;半年住河南,治理黄河水惠。因于谦政绩斐然,皇帝命其进京任职。
To explain the Chinese idiom Liangxiu Qingfeng(Clean Hands),which literally means“two sleeves of cool breeze”,one has to mention Yu Qian,the name of an upright and honest oficial of the Ming dynasty(1368-1644).Yu was born in Qiantang,today's Hangzhou,capital of Zhejiang Province in east China.He entered officialdom at what was considered the tender age of 24,after he passed the highest imperial examinations to win the title of Jinshi or Presented Scholar.
