摘要
如何标示所述事件的认识地位是定式小句研究的重要议题,以Langacker和Nuyts为代表的认知功能路向从小句的情境植入和事态限定层级角度,推进了对时、体、情态和言据等四大语义范畴的语句标记认识。梳理其理论观点和研究进展的进步意义有三:1)情境植入关注言者如何使用语言标记植入不同的认知场景,从言者介入角度探究语句标记,推动了语言研究的认识转向;2)基于事件的现实性和命题事件的来源可信度,提出了小句情境植入的句内/句外标记层级,将情境植入方式由时态、情态扩展到言据标记,言据在小句情境植入中的作用受到了重视;3)从层级限定看,形态、词汇及句法手段都可发挥语句标记作用,开辟了一条语法标记研究的新路径。
How to mark the epistemic status of an occurrence is an important issue in the study of finite clauses.Cognitivefunctional approach represented by Langacker and Nuyts proposed theories of clausal grounding and qualifications of states of affairs(SoAs),respectively,which promotes the study of syntactic markers in the grounding roles of tense,aspect,modality and evidentiality.A review of their classical theories and recent studies finds three initiative aspects:1)Grounding pertains to how the speaker implements grammatical markers to relate to the different cognitive ground.The role of speaker-involvement is emphasized in the observation of syntactic marking,revealing an epistemic turning in language study;2)Based on an assessment of the reality of the event and the validity of the clausal proposition,a clause-internal/-external grounding system is proposed.Strategies of clausal grounding are extended from tense and modality to evidentiality.Evidential markers as grounding elements are considered as an important dimension of clausal grounding;and 3)Grounding strata of clausal markers include morphological,lexical and grammatical coding,which provides a new perspective to the study of clausal grounding.
