摘要
翻译理论与翻译实践的关系是个颇具争议的话题。通过对306位高校翻译教师的问卷调研,本文发现:1)超过88%的受试把自己定位为理论与实践兼顾型的师资;2)翻译理论的功能是多样化的,并不限于甚至不主要是指导翻译实践的功能;3)翻译理论归根结底源自翻译实践,包括直接与间接的实践两个层面;4)翻译批评与翻译教学可作为翻译理论与翻译实践有效互动的两个重要中介环节;5)高校翻译教师面临的发展困境主要包括翻译实践成果未被充分认可、翻译理论与实践未能有效互动、知识体系得不到及时更新几个方面。
The relation between translation theory and practice is a rather disputable topic in transla⁃tion studies.In view of this,this paper surveys their interaction by investigating more than 300 college teachers of translation through a questionnaire and finds that:1)more than 88%of the subjects claim to be translation teachers who place emphasis on both theory and practice;2)the function of translation theory is quite diversified and not restricted by guiding translation prac⁃tice;3)translation theory comes,in the final analysis,from translation practice at both direct and indirect levels;4)translation criticism and translation teaching are two major links for the effective interaction of translation theory and practice;5)the dilemmas in the career develop⁃ment of translation teachers at present lie mainly in the facts that the results of translation prac⁃tice are academically underrated,translation theory and practice cannot interact effectively,the knowledge system of translation teachers cannot get updated timely and so on.
